Neurofeedback of St. Augustine, LLC

St. Augustine’s Compassionate Neurofeedback Center

What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a powerful treatment option for many mental health concerns. In Neurofeedback the brain changes the way it responds to stimuli and intuitively rewires itself during the treatment session. This causes a more immediate change in behavior.

Who can benefit from Neurofeedback?

My Approach

After working with clients for decades in the mental health field I am uniquely aware of the need for active listening, and compassionate health care. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable place for change.

My Story

I struggled with depression and PTSD for most of my life, attempting many different therapies with some success.

Discovering Neurofeedback has changed my life! It has lifted depression, and removed my intrusive thoughts which has allowed me to have hope for the future and be more pro-active. I have become passionate about sharing these skills with others to assist them on their journey. I believe I can help you!

Why spend years or decades on a therapist’s couch when Neurofeedback can relieve your symptoms in a shorter period of time, non-invasively, and without medications?

FAQs

Is Neurofeedback a new therapy?

Neurofeedback began in the late 1950’s. In the 1970’s it pioneered treating childhood hyperactivity, such as ADHD, with much success.

What is the success rate?

Rates such as 75-80% are quoted, however, since it is a relatively new therapy the success rate has not been extensively studied, but believe my testimonial, it works.

What happens during a Neurofeedback session?

This therapy is a biofeedback process where the brain rewires itself. EEG electrodes are attached to the scalp as the client watches a movie or game. When optimal brain waves occur the movie/game starts, and when less than optimal brain waves occur the movie/game stops. In this way the brain is intuitively correcting itself.

Is medication used?

There is no medication or invasive processes used.

How many treatment sessions are needed?

It is preferred that clients sign on for 20 sessions, however, the number of sessions required varies by individual.

Does insurance cover the treatment?

Many do, but contact your insurance company for specifics.
